History
Baron is a privately-held company whose shareholders bring over 80 years of investment experience in the multifamily industry. In 1947, WEB Laundry Service, Inc. was established as a coin-operated laundry machine company, focused on improving the profitability and quality of laundry service for apartment owners and their tenants. With a devotion to industry-leading customer service and innovation, WEB became one of America's largest coin-operated laundry providers serving the multifamily and hospitality industries.
In 2003, Baron Equities was born from WEB to leverage the family's knowledge of the multi-family asset class and develop a diverse, risk-adjusted real estate company that is committed to delivering out-sized returns to its shareholders and exceptional live / work environments for its tenants.
Today, the company's portfolio consists of a well diversified range of multifamily, industrial, retail and office properties across the Western United States.
Core Investment Strategy
Target Markets
Our goal is to be selective in identifying multi-family properties in high-growth markets with consistent economic growth and high barriers to entry. Special emphasis is placed on the Western United States, including: California, Utah, Idaho, Texas, Arizona and Oregon.
We prefer Class A and B Assets ranging in size from from 100 - 400 units, in close-in, well-located submarkets.
Development / Value-Add
Baron combines its in-house construction management expertise with development partners to not only execute value-add repositioning of existing assets, but perform entitlement and ground-up development of opportunistic sites. Past development projects have included Self Storage Facilities, Mixed-Use and Garden-Style multifamily communities.
Alternative Investments
In addition to real estate, Baron invests in select private-equity, debt and operating companies as an alternative means of diversification.
